I know!  It's all the same film just made in different places with different people. Goes to show some things never change. I love a romantic comedy, obviously!
Thought I would be up to 10 favourites by now but these are all I can think of. I must have a favourite drama, surely?.  Let me mull over that one........

Kings Park Excursion

Tom had a school excursion to the War Memorial in Kings Park today. I can't attend as a parent helper because I have Harry to look after, but today's excursion was the type that I could go along and enjoy the day with the class. Kings Park is beautiful, with views looking over the Swan River, we go up there as a family often. But for a Winters Day, to see the kids running around in t-shirts enjoying the sunshine was just wonderful. I'm of the mind that younger kids get as much from being out and about as they do sitting at a desk and today was a perfect example. There is a 'Naturescape' park in the gardens where the play equipment is focused around nature. Here is Tom trying to master 'Tangled', ropes tied between trees that the kids try and climb across and keep their balance.  Very good core exercise- I should have been doing it too!

A touch of Green

Having a green day today.  I love it, it makes things feel fresh and clean to me. Some days I am very disorganised and lucky to get dinner even on the table, and then some days, things fall into place and I have a bit of time to play with ideas or try something new.  I liked how this looked:

My Boy Pyramid

After baths tonight, the boys were all mucking around. Harry loves climbing on top of his brothers and they oblige by crawling along the ground which he thinks is hilarious. Tonight Tom was targeted, and Harry jumped on top while Tom started crawling around, next thing Angus wanted to be in on the action.  When I looked up I did the whole,"Hold it, don't move, let me take a photo". Normally that doesn't work, but I got the shot (while they looked towards their Dad).

Margaret River

The Margaret River region is a beautiful area in Western Australia that is renowned for its coast line, it's bush and mostly, it's vineyards and the beautiful wines that are produced. I didn't know much about this area before this year but we've had two weekends down there now and I'm hooked.  I'm completely in love with the area.
We most recently had a three day weekend down there with another family and had a wonderful time. The kids played and played, we snuck in a few winery tastings, cooked and ate some yummy food (and chocolate), and relaxed! (Well as much as Harry would allow :-))
Kay and I enjoying the local produce:

The boys taking on the balance beam challenge!  Tom was SO annoyed that Mummy could do the whole thing, but he couldn't. Hee, hee.

And finally, to finish off the weekend, a trip to Simmo's: a local ice-creamery that does Sorbet in lots of different flavours. Angus and Kai think it tastes pretty good. Something our family rarely has the pleasure of enjoying. Yum!

Girls Night Out

Doesn't happen very often. For any of us! But we managed to organise a Fri night where all the Dads were home from travel, so we put our heels on, a bit of lippie and went out. Yay!  Had a great night, so fun in fact that I forgot to get a pic, so will add one of the ladies another time.  Enjoyed unbroken conversation, a little bit of alcohol and some great Sth East Asian cuisine at Apple Daily.  I want to do it again.....soon! I have been blessed once again with a beautiful group of 'Cat Wives', maybe because we move around we become more adaptable or 'global', I don't know, but they are just beautiful women who are a wonderful support network, and I seem to find more wherever I move too!  Fun girls night CWC, thanks Jo, Rachel, Kay, Bronwin and Christa.

AQWA

We went to our local Aquarium together as a family, and while it doesn't compare to the Melbourne Aquarium or Chicago's Shedd Aquarium, the boys still had a great time. Being ably to 'pat' the Sting Ray which was unbelievably tame was their highlight. This thing swam around in circles in the Touch Pool near the edge where it would get pats. There was other space to swim, away from excited little hands but it chose to come over to the edge!  Unbelievable. The gummy sharks also didn't mind a little pat but would escape to the bottom of the pool periodically to take a break. The Starfish don't get much of a choice do they?
